The passion & discovery of Dream City and our commitment
Corrie Hu, the owner and founder of Dream City is a mother of two and has lived in Forest Hills since 2007. She was formerly a classically trained professional musician, as well as a foreign language interpreter at Department of Justice, a CPA and hedge fund tax manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In 2013, she decided to pursue her true passion – teaching. Corrie attended Teachers College at Columbia University, receiving a Masters degree in Elementary Education. Throughout her teaching, she has tried to build an atmosphere conductive to learning both socially and intellectually.

After giving birth for her two children, her passion of teaching and working with children grew even stronger. She realized there was an unfilled demand for an indoor playspace in Forest Hills where young children can learn to play and play to learn. In early 2018, she decided to create her own. Thus, Dream City was created -- a place in Forest Hills where a child's intellectual curiosity and confidence can grow through play.

At Dream City, children can dream big (and even bigger), explore and learn regardless of the differences of their cultural backgrounds and linguistic experiences. We are dedicated to working with families and educators to build a positive learning environment where every child can, play enjoy and learn.
The future is full of challenges and opportunities. Our children have it in their heart to make a difference. Let’s dream together and capture the memorable moments in Dream City.
